Ahmad Von Denffer was born in Germany in 1949. He studied Islamics and Social Anthropology at the Universty of Mainz, where he also attended additional courses in the Department of Missiology. His special interests include Christian-Muslim relations. He has made a number of contributions to scholarly journals and has several publications to his credit. He joined the Islamic Foundation as Research Fellow in 1978 and is presently working with the Islamic Centre, Munich.

Salah satu hikmah pemindahan kibat

 QS 2:142-150 tentang pemindahan kibat dari Masjidil Haram ke Baitul Maqdisdan dari Baitul Maqdis ke Masjidil Haram. Kiblat ke Baitul Maqdis selama 16 atau 17 bulan.


Menurut tafsir "Dibawah Naungan al Qur'an"nya Sayyid Qutb dan terjemahan Quriash Shihab, salah satu hikmah pemindahan kiblat:
- dari Masjidil Haram ke Baitul Maqdis

Text: direpresentasikan vector atau skalar?

Dalam teks mining, ada learning method yang memproses teks sebagai vector (vector space model) seperti Rocchio dan kNN, ada juga yang merepresentasikan dlam skalar seperti Tree dan SVM. Dengan representasi yang berbeda, pengukuran jarak/perbedaan juga berbeda. Vektor dengan sudut dan skalar dengan jarak Ecludian.

Terlepas dari keunggulan metoda pembelajaran, representasi dokumen yang  mana yang lebih baik?

Lebih mandiri

Makan DISUAPI, duduk DIPANGKU, pergi KESIANGAN (kesorean etc).. ketiganya saya cari kebetulan karena saya perlu. Sy belum nemu kata dlm bhs Inggris yg spesifik unt terjemahan kata di atas, yg saya temukan sbg terjemahnya: feed, sit on lap, dan late; kata2 yg artinya lebih umum. Jika kita cari dalam images.google.com akan mudah mencari foto2 orang/anak disuapi jika kata kuncinya "makan disuapi" dari pada feed, misal "feed baby".

Terlintas di pikiran, kalau dilihat ketiga kata diatas mangandung pengertian "kurang baik"  (tdk mandiri). Saya lihat orang2 di Barat lebih mandiri dibanding kita. Nyambung nggak ya pikiran saya itu? Yg penting ambil hikmahnya, saya (atau mungkin: kita) mesti semakin mandiri.
